I have tried brass catchers of all types over the years. None have functioned quite how I wanted them to, always either jamming up brass, or not fitting the rifle at all. This catcher is great with or without the box attached. I like that you can use this to deflect brass straight down, and away from other shooters. The box holds at least 30 shell casings, perfect for dumping into your brass bag.

Only 4 stars because it doesn't fit every ar out there it fits one of mine but not the other one but not bad for the price.
