RainHarvest Systems is your comprehensive resource for residential and commercial water harvesting, treatment and reuse products and systems. Our innovative products work seamlessly together to provide a solution for your specific requirements. Our systems, both residential and commercial, are designed around the same principle - the capture, treatment, and reuse of collected water. Harvesting rain is a practice that has been around for centuries. Cisterns and other rain harvesting systems are used globally and are commonplace. Benefits of collected rainwater include eliminating constraints due to restrictions on municipal water, reducing dependency and cost of locally supplied water, and providing a secure and dependable water source free of chemical treatment. Components of a water collection system typically include a collection surface, a downspout filter to keep out leaves and other large contaminants, a storage tank to hold the water, and a pump or gravity system to move the water. Optional items including system controls and treatment including sediment filtration, UV disinfection, and ozone purification technologies that can be integrated into the system. Commercial and Industrial Businesses are increasing their water reclamation and reuse for applications such as irrigation, plumbing fixtures, and industrial processes to:
- reduce the strain on the water supply
- meet local government requirements
- achieve LEED credits
- reduce water costs
- meet sustainability goals
- be good neighborhood and community stewards.

The filter seems to be designed to drop into a standard gutter, which is well and good, unless you are doing a schedule 40, 3" pvc drain system. It does not mate with that standard material. Maybe they sell an adapter...
Company Response
Hello Tom,
According to our system, you placed an order for the Rectangular Output Leaf Eater (RHAD90). That will not fit schedule 40 PVC. The Round Output Leaf Eater (RHAD100) is the one you need to fit schedule 40 PVC. If you would like help in an exchange, please feel free to contact us and we will be more than happy to help get you the right part.
Best Regards,

The pvc outlet does not match standard shedule 40, 3" pipe. It may work with thin wall pvc, but took it to my local box store and found not parts that would mate with it. This should be noted when you are designing your system. I was able to machine an adapter but many people will be stymied if trying to glue up to 3" pvc

Why Trust Verified Reviews?
Verified Reviews are real, authentic reviews collected from actual paying customers, using Shopper Approved's Verified Review Platform. When reviews are Verified by Shopper Approved, you know that you can trust them to make better buying decisions.
Unverified Reviews on the other hand, are reviews collected by Open Review platforms that allow anyone to leave a review, without any validation or proof of purchase. Unfortunately, most reviews you read online are Unverified Reviews, and can't be trusted.
As a consumer, here's how you can tell the difference:
Verified Reviews from Verified Review Platforms like Shopper Approved, have much higher review counts and higher overall Star ratings, because they attempt to collect reviews from every single paying customer.
Unverified Reviews from Open Review Platforms, tend to have much lower review counts and more negative Star ratings, because people with bad experiences are primarily those who leave reviews. This often creates a misleading, inaccurate portrayal of a companies true reputation.
So, when searching for Verified Reviews, look for the name you know you can trust. Shopper Approved.
